About the Event
Freedom in Disasters hosts the official international launch of the International Standard for Counter Human Trafficking Programming in Disasters.
This milestone event introduces the first global standard specifically designed to address trafficking risks that emerge during disasters and humanitarian crises. It marks a critical transition from development to global adoption and implementation.
The event will commence with a high tea, where stakeholders from diverse disciplines will gather to connect, exchange ideas, and mark this important milestone. An optional networking dinner will follow; please note that this is not included in the event registration fee.
The event will feature a keynote address by Ms. Charimaya Tamang, a globally recognized anti-trafficking advocate, alongside a panel of leading experts from across Nepal’s counter-trafficking and humanitarian sectors.
