Participant Waiver
Global Action for Freedom – Kathmandu Charity Hike
By registering for the Global Action for Freedom Charity Hike in the Kathmandu Valley, participants agree to the following terms:
Voluntary Participation
Participation in the Charity Hike is entirely voluntary. Participants understand that outdoor activities such as hiking involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, accidents, weather conditions, terrain hazards, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Assumption of Risk and Liability Release
Participants acknowledge that they take part in the Charity Hike entirely at their own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participants agree to release and hold harmless Freedom in Disasters, its partners, organisers, staff, volunteers, and collaborators from any liability, claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to participation in the event.
Health and Fitness Responsibility
Participants confirm that they are physically capable of participating in the hike and accept responsibility for their own health, medical needs, insurance, and personal safety throughout the activity.
Age Requirement
Participation in the Charity Hike is limited to individuals 18 years of age or older.
Compliance with Safety Guidance and Local Laws
Participants agree to follow reasonable safety guidance provided by organisers and to comply with applicable local laws and regulations during the activity.
Respectful Conduct and Safeguarding
Freedom in Disasters is committed to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for all participants. Participants agree to behave respectfully toward fellow participants, local communities, and the environment. Harassment, discrimination, exploitation, or behaviour inconsistent with humanitarian principles may result in removal from the event.
Photography and Media
Participants acknowledge that photographs or media content may be captured during the event for communication and awareness purposes by Freedom in Disasters. Participants may request that identifiable images of them not be used.
Event Changes or Cancellation
Freedom in Disasters reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event or related activities due to safety concerns, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond its control.
